Our family’s farming tradition goes back as far as our memories allow us. We are surrounded by the spirit of our ancestors, the hum of the times that have shaped us. The year 1927 marked the beginning of Jogan family becoming important farmers, as they built a stable in their home village of Pedrovo. Their cattle shed was very modern and architecturally elaborate for those times; many people remember pilgrimages to Pedrovo, where people would come and see this remarkable building. When the building work was completed, Jo\u017eef, Damijan’s nono<\/em>, commissioned an artist to paint a fresco on the fa\u00e7ade of the building, which has become an important heirloom of our family. Our ancestors have left us deep contemplations, which cannot be deciphered with a glance, as the fresco contains many messages and values of the family. It is only through their thoughts that we can understand the message they left us.<\/p>\n\n\n

The first symbol of the fresco is the vine, a symbol of fertility, of the benevolence of nature, which gives us bread for our bodies and souls. The vine hides its fruit, a symbol of longevity and connection to wine. And the thoughts that this wine gives birth to are written down in books and read for millennia afterwards.<\/p>\n\n\n

These two vines are like two springs of life, holding hands. They do not merely shake hands, but grasp and hold each other tightly, so no one can separate them. The parable is a reminder that when we find a true friendship, we pledge ourselves to it for eternity and no one can destroy it.<\/p>\n\n\n

We sign our creations, our thoughts, our actions. The year marks an important milestone in the Jogan family. Next to it there is a signature of nono<\/em> Jo\u017eef, who stands behind this milestone and lives for what he does. <\/p>\n\n\n

When we create something that we are particularly proud of, we invite our friends over and rejoice with them. This ribbon means that the deed is complete. It is time to sit down with those who have helped us in our work and those who have cleared and sharpened our minds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
